Joan’s Apple Crisp

Pretty much a perfect Fall dessert. There is nothing like hot apple crisp and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Joan's Apple Crisp

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 5 cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • cup sugar
  • ¾ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp butter

Topping:

  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ cup oats
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • ½ stick butter, softened

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • In a large bowl, combine apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and butter. Spoon into a 9x9" baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt and butter. Mix well. Spread evenly over top of apple mixture.
  • Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
