Broccoli Strawberry Salad

  • 5-6 cups broccoli florets, chopped
  • cups strawberries, chopped
  • ½ red onion, diced
  • 1 pear, chopped
  • 1 apple, (Fuji, Granny Smith recommended)
  • 1 avocado, chopped (wait until just before serving)
  • ¾ cup dried cranberries
  • ½ cup sunflower seeds, shelled
  • cup feta cheese, crumbled

Creamy Poppy Seed Dressing

  • ½ cup Greek yogurt, vanilla flavored
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • tsp pepper



  • In a large bowl, combine the broccoli, strawberries, red onion, pear, apple, cranberries, sunflower seeds, and feta. (Hold off on the avocado!)


  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the yogurt, mayo, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, sugar, poppy seeds, salt, and pepper. According to your desired proportions, add the dressing to the salad and toss until coated.
  • This is best when chilled for 30 minutes.
  • Top with avocados before serving.
