Baked Havarti Chicken

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
  • 8 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 slices Havarti cheese
  • Italian dressing
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp sherry
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt


  • Marinate chicken in Italian dressing for 30+ minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Place chicken in 9x13 baking dish. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until juices run clear. 
  • While chicken is baking, melt butter in a medium saucepan. Add sherry, Worcestershire sauce and garlic salt. Bring to a slight boil, then add the mushrooms. 
  • Reduce to a simmer, cover and cook for 3-5 minutes until mushrooms are tender.
  • Remove chicken from the oven and top each piece with a slice of cheese. Return pan to the oven until cheese is just melted.
  • Remove chicken from oven and top with mushrooms, and pan juices.
